Hi Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I remember the news back in 2007, when all were devastated upon hearing our nation's losses. It's now 2013. I hope you're doing fine. The dragon boat scene is still growing, something that I know you'll be glad to know. I'm very thankful to have known you. Through all the accounts of the years on this blog, I know with all my heart, that you're a wonderful decent young man with so much potential. And, you will always be remembered. Take care Jeremy.

Love,
F.

Hi Jeremy

Jeremy,

I hope you are happy and trouble-free up there in Heaven. I'm sure you are with the other four guys too, and I give you all my best. I don't know you personally, as you left us when I was just a child. But you may know a teacher of mine, Jeffrey Tan, an NJC teacher who was also in the National Team. But I'm sure Stephen knows him.

I'm 14, and Mr Tan is my teacher. Last year, he told me about the incident, and how he knew Stephen. He may know you too. He can be emotional, so he didn't say much, but I'm sure he misses you all. So, I'll pass on his regards, even if he doesn't know this, and can you let Stephen know something?

His students miss him. I may not know Mr. Loh, but he was an ex-teacher of NJC, and I'm sure there are many who know him on a personal level. So pass it on, alright?

Much love,
An NJ Student.

2013 is here

Dear Jeremy,

Realized your page has been quite quiet. Its perhaps due to the festive seasons and the start of new year that makes everyone busy.

You have not been forgetten yet. :)

It has been 5 years since your departure.. time seems to fly by very quickly. I could still recall the poly days, your smile and your nonsensical jokes..

Rest well up there and continue to watch over the dragonboaters.

We miss you and we really do.. . and this blog add will continue to stay on my favourites..

We are doing okay

Hi Jeremy,

SAFSA has grown from strength to strength. For the first time in a very long time we fielded 2 20crew open teams and both have done well (1st and 3rd) in the recent MR500. We have what we have because of the efforts of you and the others before us.

We are still not there yet, Adrian feels so too. We will keep working hard.

3rd Anniversary

2010.11.23

This day marks the third year without you by our side physically, never have you ever leave our thoughts... our heart... Till today, i still can remember the smiles that you never fail to wear on your face... The jokes you used to tell us in our poly days... The actions you always did in front of us...

It is strange, i must admit, that i think of you whenever i am having half chicken western meal. It will reminds me the incident in Swensen's... what Jocelyn said about you and me... I will be reminded of you whenever i read news about dragonboat or hear people talk about dragonboat. I will be reminded of you when i see people doing silly expression... haha...

On 20th Nov, we went down and pay respect to the guy who had left us while donning national colours. You are still so popular even till today... Fresh flowers can be seen at your 'place'. It is a pity that a few of us were not able to come down due to work commitment or other 'auspicious clashes'. But I am sure you know your position in their heart.

Hope that you are doing well wherever you are... having fun and bring laughters everywhere =)

SAFSA has grown by leaps & bounds!

Hi Jeremy, how r u? Whenever I visit yr blog, it makes me happy to know you're still remembered by so many. Its been a few years now, and you may be glad to know that the SAFSA team which you once led has grown by leaps n bounds. Here are them winning the SAFSA Merit Team Award (Mens) for 2010 (recognise Adrian?). Recently, they also made the SAFSA headlines by winning 3 Golds in the CCWC in Macau. Be proud and be at peace. Watch over them always. -WEP

WE DID IT!

Hello Mr Da Tou Xiong,

Hope all has been fine for you and the rest up there.
Well, I am bringing this piece of news a week late but again, late is better then never, and i am pretty darn sure that you and company were watching it when it happened. Nonetheless, I would still want to proudly declare this great piece of news to you.

SIM Men has won the Gold medal in IVP and PM Cup in the recently concluded SDBF 2010 on 10th and 11th July. Now, before I continue, don't you go around boasting!

I know that you're watching over us and it's like finally, after five long years and we have finally landed Gold for these two categories and the 'Holy Grail' is finally making its way to our school.

You would be proud to know that we are the current holder for River Regatta 'IVP Men, Open Mixed and Men Open' as well as the current holder of June Race 'IVP Men and PM Cup'. You must be blessing and watching over us. I want you to know that all these success belongs to EVERYONE and not only us.

I believe that our competitors will bounce back even stronger but fret not, for we will continue doing our best and put up a good fight/show for you and everybody out there.

SAFSA did put up a fantastic fight with MBT and though they were edged out by a mere second and you would be proud to know the fact that you were part of both teams at a certain point of your 'rowing career'.

The National Team are doing great as well and i truly believe that it is only a matter of time before they realized the dream of bringing an international Gold medal back home.

Continue blessing SIM, SAFSA, MBT and the National Team for all the success of these teams belong to you and company as well.

Rgds

For open, it is still between us and MTB . We have lost, but for the you will be proud of them. They are not content for just being second at national level.

We will be going up CCWC. Watch over us and we will try our best again.

Cheers

P.S: Boon san and guys, dun worri. NTU will bounced back even stronger. Singapore will witness it and Who knows this year or next will be the year we bring back an international gold :)

Long time

Hi,

A lot had happened.

Remember that we often awed by hungary, czech, macau and more. Last year, we finally went to world championship. And we managed to inch off these exact teams during our stint there.

In the past, SAFSA never even won medals of any color when we competed. In 3 weeks time, we will be defending our first national championship for the first time.

We always wanted to represent Singapore for SEA games. Just yesterday, SSC agreed to send us for Asian games.

Since you and guys are up there, look out for us. Support us.
We will and would try our best in achieving what is impossible to us in the past.

Still miss you guys.
